Update and some pics

Well, I have been thinking about writing an update since after my first week back ... It took me an additional week to find the time. Anyway ... here goes ...

Work didn't change too much while I was away. That is great news for me because I actually love my job and the people I work with. I am lucky to call many of my co-workers friends. That came in handy the first week because I was pretty emotional to be away from Isabella, and I left early every day to go get her. But, we made it. This week was my second week back and I had a heck of a case to work on. I stayed full days and the sweet ladies at the Cathedral School (Isabella's daycare) say that she is doing well ... just sleeping, eating, and playing on the floor with the other babies until I get there to get her. So ... I know it will get easier. Before I continue ... some pics of my first day back to work ...

Other fun news ... Isabella is being Baptized tomorrow. My sweet family is braving the bad conditions in AR from the ice storm and driving down to be here. I got her the sweetest little gown. Maybe I can post a pic of it. I thought about having her wear mine from when I was Baptized; however, I wore one of my cousin's gowns and wouldn't be able to pass it on to her. SO ... I wanted her to have one of her very own to be able to pass on when she is a mom. Some people do not believe in infant Baptism. However, in the Episcopal church, there is kind of a happy medium because the infant Baptism ceremony is a sign of how we are loved and accepted by the Lord before we are ever even able to really know about Him and His sacrifice. Then, later in your life, you may choose to be Confirmed. Confirmation is for older children/young adults/adults to say the vows for themselves when they are ready and fully understand. Anyway ... we are very excited to share in her special day. Here is the gown I bought her ...

What else? I guess that is it for now. I have a few pics from this week. I thought she looked so cute squirming around one morning while I was trying to get her dressed. The pic where she is smiling was before she went to bed last night.

We hope all is well with our friends and family! We love you!

  1. She is adorable! Look for my mom at your church. She and her husband started going to a new church and I think it might be that one. How funny would that be?!?!
